Profile:
We are looking for a proactive and reliable Finance Executive to oversee the full range of financial responsibilities. This position is well-suited for candidates with prior experience in a start-up environment, preferably with a background in a Big 4 accounting firm or expertise in GST, IRAS, and Corporate Tax. Job Responsibilities
Handle end-to-end accounts receivable and payable processes, including day-to-day financial operations and transactions.
Review, update, and reconcile all incoming payments (cash, credit card, online transfers, e-wallets, etc.) to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Responsible for timely issuance of invoices, credit notes, and refunds, as well as accurate billing and prompt updates of receipts in the system.
Conduct regular reconciliation of bank statements, AR balances, and receipts; monitor collections and investigate discrepancies.
Review AR aging reports, track collection progress, and implement improvements in processes and internal controls.
Process and verify payments, invoices (local & overseas), and staff claims; maintain updated AP listings and perform monthly aging analysis.
Compute and reconcile incentives, volume rebates, and early payment discounts from vendors accurately.
Maintain complete and accurate records for suppliers and landlords; respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies.
Support and execute month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and preparation of financial reports.
Enhance and streamline AR/AP procedures, controls, and financial practices to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
Requirements
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in accountancy or a relevant discipline qualification.
Prior experience in the retail or FMCG industry is an advantage.
At least 2 years of experience with using Xero and preparing financial statements.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Detail-oriented, meticulous, able to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge in setting up internal control policy.
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience in a start-up environment and the Big 4 will be an advantage.
Strong knowledge of Singapore GST, IRAS, and Corporate Tax is a must.
