Job Summary
The A4 Chargeman is responsible for supervising electrical maintenance and ensuring compliance with industry safety standards and regulations within the facilities. This role requires a strong technical background and leadership skills.
Job Description: -
Responsible for the supervision and management of electrical maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with the Electricity Supply Act and related regulations (incl Licences & Certificates).
Responsible for supervising and implementing the Preventive Maintenance schedules for electrical systems and upkeeping electrical layout plans.
Perform regular inspections and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment, and installations, (daily, weekly and monthly).
Comply and complete key Department documents (including Preventive Maintenance Checklist, Service Report and Work-Orders).
Coordinate and supervise contractors and external service providers for specialized electrical work.
Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with safety standards and best practices.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs (daily, weekly, monthly).
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
Staying on call for and responding to emergency maintenance needs.
Teamwork related tasks:
To support Fit Out function on tenant fit-out submissions and provide comment (on electrical matters).
Support Area - Property Manager and Admin Executive with completion of Monthly Report (kWh consumption, Licencing etc) and Budgeting matters.
Train and mentor junior staff on electrical safety and operational procedures.
Any other duties may be assigned from time to time by the Management.
Qualifications:
Possess a valid A4 Chargeman certification issued by the Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission).
Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance or related field.
Preferable wireman certificate.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, safety regulations, and troubleshooting techniques.
Demonstrable leadership and communication skills with Customer (tenant) focus.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, particularly towards energy savings.
Computer literate (Word and Excel) with ability to track, record and analyze kWh consumption.
