Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
As Senior Executive, Finance, you will support the financial operations for Malaysia and Singapore entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, audit readiness, tax compliance, and budgeting. You’ll act as the key liaison between local finance and shared service teams, while maintaining compliance with regulatory and internal control requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
GENERAL LEDGER
Coordinate monthly closings with GBS, ensuring completeness in bank reconciliations, OIM GL clearance, accruals, and prepayments.
Review and improve monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
Conduct variance analysis and analytical reviews; propose recommendations for discrepancies or risks.
Ensure timely completion of financial reporting and required submissions.
Maintain accurate records to comply with internal audit, external auditors, and regulatory requirements.
Prepare and submit Unclaimed Monies Act Reports.
Support fixed asset verification exercises in both Malaysia and Singapore.
AUDIT & TAX
Manage queries and schedule preparations for internal and external audit exercises.
Prepare draft audit reports.
Ensure daily operations adhere to internal control standards.
Collaborate with the Tax/GL team and regional office on tax matters.
Ensure timely, accurate filing of tax returns for local entities, branches, and carrier representations.
Review transfer pricing documentation and ensure compliance with local tax laws and updates.
BUDGET & FORECAST
Coordinate the budgeting and forecasting process with Heads of Departments (HODs).
Work with the Finance Manager and CFO to review and finalize budget figures.
Support OneStream reporting in collaboration with GBS and regional finance teams.
JOB REQUIREMENT
Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Tax with minimum 3 years working experience preferably covered both Malaysia and Singapore.
Professional experience in audit and consultancy is a plus.
High level of written and oral communication skills. Fluent in English.
Advanced skills in MS Excel and Power Point presentation.
Experience in Oracle and SAP accounting software is a plus.
