Job Scope
Expert in the Company’s procurement policies and procedures to ensure that procurement activities comply with the Company’s established purchasing and contracting policies and procedures.
Work closely with users to identify purchasing needs.
Ensure that relevant sourcing requirements in the procurement process are carried out consistently and effectively.
To continually develop a sufficient and reliable database of readily available supplies for present and anticipated future operational needs.
Monitor suppliers’ performance through regular surveys and user feedback; coordinate annual vendor evaluation exercise.
Manage supplier relationships effectively.
Review all tendering documents and work with users to ensure specifications are clear and comprehensive and comply with tender strategies approved by the tender committee before tender calls are carried out.
To organize and carry out tender exercises, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure the best prices and favorable terms.
Assist in matters related to procurement contracts.
Prepare reports as and when required by HOP.
Periodically review/ feedback on the effectiveness of the existing purchasing and contracting policies and procedures and recommend changes to achieve efficiency.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as and when required or attend to ad-hoc matters assigned by superior.
Requirements
Minimum Diploma in Procurement, or relevant field
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work with superiors, subordinates, co-workers, internal customers/users, and suppliers.
Good negotiation, analytical skills, and resourceful
Work independently and commit to deadlines.
Attention to detail.
Takes the initiative in solving problems and conflicts.
