Job Description
Key responsibilities:
Manage and handle the full set of export and import documentation, including Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, and documents for Bank negotiation.
Liaise with forwarders, carriers, and shipping agents globally to monitor shipment and delivery status.
Attend to overseas customer inquiries and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers.
Oversee order processing: confirm orders, plan and monitor shipments, and coordinate with internal and external parties to ensure smooth delivery.
Ensure shipments comply with customs requirements, special permits, and regulatory documentation.
Verify all shipping documents for accuracy and completeness.
Assist in continuous improvement of shipping, logistics, and documentation processes.
Maintain accurate records and filing systems.
Track and report shipment status; proactively resolve delays or logistic issues.
Prepare, verify and manage shipping documentation.
Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
3–5 years’ experience in import/export shipping, preferably in food industry.
Strong knowledge of shipping procedures, customs regulations, and documentation.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 is an added advantage.
Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented, proactive, with a positive working attitude.
