Job Description
This role will be responsible to handle tax compliance matters in the organization and to assist in any ad hoc assignment when available.
Your responsibilities will be to:
Tax Compliance
Manage and coordinate various tax compliance and filing requirements (monthly, quarterly & annual) for corporate and indirect taxes.
Ensure compliance with Sales and Service Tax (SST), with holding tax, and other applicable tax regulations (etc. RPGT, Capital Gain Tax, Stamp Duty) in Malaysia.
Coordinate with external tax agents for annual tax filings and statutory requirements.
Tax Planning & Advisory
Assist in identifying tax planning opportunities to optimize tax efficiency.
Provide internal advice on tax implications of business transactions and contracts.
Monitor changes in tax laws and advise business units on potential tax impact.
Transfer Pricing
Support preparation and review of transfer pricing documentation.
Assist with intercompany transaction analysis and compliance with TP guidelines.
Audit & Risk
Support internal and external tax audits and resolve queries from tax authorities.
Ensure proper documentation and records are maintained for tax-related matters.
Others
Execute and perform research for ad hoc assignments as required.
Undertake any other ad hoc administrative tasks and responsibilities to support the smooth functioning of the tax department.
To be eligible for this role, you will require:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent.
At least 2-3 year(s) of relevant working experience in handling corporate tax computation is essential. Those with exposure in property tax and general tax advisory will have an edge.
Experienced in dealing with Tax Authorities; IRB, Customs etc is important.
