Job scope:
· Strategic Growth & Transactions: Assist in developing and implementing various strategic initiatives, which may include mergers & acquisitions (M&A), asset monetisation, fund raising (debt & equity). Specifics tasks may include:
o Assist with investment evaluation by preparing and reviewing financial models, board & executive committee documents, and analysing investment details.
o Facilitate due diligence processes by coordinating with internal & external stakeholders.
o Support fundraising activities, including participating in roadshows, negotiations with lenders, legal counsel, and various external parties.
o Review contracts and participate in negotiations with counterparties.
o Manage relationships with corporate advisors (investment banks, consultants, solicitors, etc) and internal/external parties, including regulatory bodies.
o Assist each division in their respective strategic initiatives as needed.
· Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting:
o Monitor performance of each division by reviewing and compiling monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
o Provide meeting briefs for executive committee & board documents for investee companies.
· Investor Relations: Contribute to investor relations activities such as preparing and reviewing relevant materials for analysts’ presentations, annual reports, press releases & announcements, annual general meetings, etc.
· Special Projects: Assist with ad-hoc requests and special projects for the Group Chairman and other major shareholders.
o Perform any ad-hoc projects / tasks assigned by superiors.
Skill-set requirement:
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics related field or accounting/finance professional qualifications e.g. ACCA/CPA/CFA or its equivalent is preferred
At least 5-8 years of relevant working experience in industries such as investment banking, fund management, venture capital, accounting/tax, or management consulting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and good stakeholder management skills
Strong critical and strategic thinking
Proficient in valuation, financial analysis and modelling, tax, structuring, and has strong understanding of accounting policies, listing and M&A regulations, and Companies Act.
Team player, good problem solver and proactive.
