Job Summary and Mission
This job contributes to Starbucks success by perform a variety of accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards to control the organization’s financial resources and ensure that it complies with all relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Updates relevant invoices and ledger entries to accounting system, ACCPAC in accordance with accounting principles and standard.
Reconciles accounts, posts journal entries, and maintains a complete and accurate general ledger in accordance with accounting principles and reporting schedules so that the organization has accurate statement of its financial position.
Collects, compiles, verifies and analyzes financial information and prepare financial reports and accounting statements so that senior management has accurate and timely information for making financial decisions. These reports may include profit and loss statements, balance sheets, depreciation statements, debtor and creditors lists, repayment schedules, regulatory reports and filings.
Records and maintains accurate accounting records on cost and accumulated depreciation of the Fixed Assets through Fixed Assets Registered/ Listings.
Reconciles creditor's statement to ensure the outstanding balance is accurate before payment.
Conducts store audit, verifies accounts related document and physical Fixed Asset sighting.
Provides technical accounting advice within the team and store level
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
At least a Diploma in Accounting /Finance or professional certificate.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Proficiency in a third language (Mandarin) is considered an advantage
Strong working knowledge in excel.
Detail-oriented, organized with good time management skills.
Good communication skills, both orally and in writing.
Ability to work within large collaborative organizations.
