Charterhouse Malaysia is looking for an inspiring Admissions Manager to join our extended senior leadership team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As the Admissions Manager, you will play a key role in developing and executing admissions strategies to promote the school and attract students from a wide range of backgrounds. You will lead the admissions team to meet enrolment targets, while working closely with various stakeholders to strengthen the school’s reputation. Additionally, you will be responsible for training and guiding the team to achieve admissions goals, and will assist the department head in managing staff within the department when needed.
Whilst the initial focus will be on Charterhouse Malaysia there is great potential for a strong candidate to become involved at regional level with Charterhouse Asia.
Key responsibilities :
1: Demonstrate successful admissions planning and communications.
Lead the annual Admissions planning process within the school to ensure optimum brand awareness and lead generation activities within local competitive environment.
Plan the annual target and fee setting process within the school.
Help Marketing and Communications Manager to drive quality lead generation activity for the school across digital and offline communication channels to meet agreed targets.
Proactively manage the admission content and event, plans for the school, including analysis of efficiency & effectiveness and budget management.
Help Marketing and Communications Manager to deliver effective promotional campaigns to achieve the required levels of enquiry, application, acceptance and enrolment rates in schools.
Act as school representative with prospective families from enquiry through to the enrolment of new students at the school.
Oversee school admissions activities improving alumni, stakeholder, parent, student and staff engagement.
Help Marketing and Communications Manager to conduct market research.
Help school to engage stakeholders to complete yearly surveys with increased completion and advocacy rates.
Share learnings and best practice with Marketing and Admissions teams.
2: Sales and active student recruitment
Ensure the school engages in active student recruitment activity to meet and exceed student recruitment targets.
Ensure Admissions activity informs annual budgets. Contribute to annual Marketing and Admissions planning sessions for the school.
Track and report on sales funnel and conversion rates.
Attend and represent the school at appropriate student recruitment events.
Manage the use of the MIS/CRM to ensure robust collection of recruitment data and high levels of customer follow up.
Maintain relevant relationships (with other key personnel) with feeder schools, universities, businesses, education agents and international markets and other organisations providing student recruitment support as required.
Lead on establishing strong relationships with prospective and current parents and students.
Provide relevant and effective student support as needed in school after new students begin their time at the school (‘after sales care’).
Develop strong internal relationships with staff to effectively carry out admission and student recruitment activity.
3: Drive the increase in the number of students.
Ensure that targets agreed for school growth are met.
Implement retention plans and actions throughout each academic year to ensure student withdrawal rates are minimised.
4: Ensure admissions processes are professionally and systematically run with accurate group reporting procedures.
Follow the Charterhouse admissions process and ensure relevant documentation and parent contracts are delivered successfully.
Ensure that the school’s admissions and student recruitment processes are customer-focused and designed to make enrolment as easy as possible.
Ensure individual Admissions staff’s KPI review and reporting is accurately carried out.
Ensure there is Continuing Professional Development for all Admissions staff.
5: Provide CPD to admissions team within the school.
Manage, mentor and coach admissions team members to ensure they follow through admissions process efficiently and effectively.
Train the team on agreed Charterhouse processes around admissions and retention.
6: Work to support and deliver Charterhouse Asia’s vision, mission and core values.
Work with the school in ways that help to ensure that all colleagues in the school are demonstrably working towards and in alignment with Charterhouse’s purposes and principles
Ensure that the school’s existing practices are as up-to-date as possible and are based on good evidence.
Academic/Professional Qualifications and Requirement :
Educated to Degree/Master level.
Qualification in Marketing, Business related discipline or Hospitality studies.
Minimum 5 years’ work experience in similar capacity.
Prior experience in Education industry required.
An ability to speak Mandarin would be a distinct advantage.
