Job Scope and Responsibilities:
Lead the full product lifecycle for acquiring solutions including merchant onboarding, terminal/payment gateway integration, transaction processing, settlement, and reporting.
Work closely with engineering to design and optimize backend acquiring systems, including routing logic, MDR configuration, settlement cycle setup, and reconciliation flows.
Define product strategy and roadmap aligned with business goals, compliance, and market trends.
Translate product concepts into detailed PRDs and user stories, with full ownership from design to release.
Coordinate with partners, banks, and card schemes (Visa/Mastercard) for acquiring certification and technical alignment.
Analyze merchant needs, transaction patterns, and market developments to identify product opportunities and risks.
Track and improve key metrics such as onboarding speed, transaction success rate, MDR accuracy, and merchant satisfaction.
Stay informed on payment trends including POS, DuitNow QR, FPX, eCommerce gateways, and alternative acquiring methods.
Requirement:
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Senior Product Manager in fintech or payment-related systems.
Must have direct experience in acquiring platform development, including any of the following: MDR logic, merchant hierarchy configuration, transaction routing, clearing & settlement, or reconciliation.
Strong understanding of BNM regulations, Visa/Mastercard scheme rules, and certification processes.
Ability to manage complex system logic and collaborate effectively with engineering, operations, and compliance teams.
Excellent documentation skills (PRD, flow diagrams) and strong analytical thinking.
Experience in Web3/blockchain-based payment systems is a plus.
